Roll-off dumpster rental in Crystal Springs

Approx. 27 road miles south of the yard, around 36 minutes, down I-55.

Crystal Springs is down I-55 south, about 27 road miles and 36 minutes from the yard, and next morning as a rule — often the same day. It is a city of 4,668 by the Census Bureau's July 2024 estimate (4,862 at the 2020 Census), just over the line in Copiah County.

The one hard rule we found here is about trucks, not containers: Ordinance No. 388 routes trucks over 10,000 lb — and a roll-off truck is one — via Hwy 27, Hwy 51 and Jackson Street. We set it out below.

Local knowledge

Getting our bearings in Crystal Springs

Knowing a city properly is the difference between covering it and showing up with the right box.

  • Tomato Festival and the Tomato 5K Run/Walk on the last Saturday of June every year, and "Taste of The Blues" in spring.
  • Blues heritage — bluesmen Robert and Tommy Johnson are linked to the town, and the Robert Johnson Blues Museum is downtown.
  • Chautauqua Park — the City says "the first PTA was founded in that very park."
  • City recycling drop-off at 304 Harmony Rd by the City Barn — paper, plastics, aluminium cans, cardboard and glass.
  • City Hall is on Railroad Ave, 601-892-1212.

What comes out of Crystal Springs properties

Cleanouts and remodels in 15s and 20s, commercial and bigger clear-outs in 20s and 30s, and a 10 for concrete and brick. Who collects household trash in the city was not found on the City site, and Copiah County's garbage pages could not be read, so we will not quote their rules. A Copiah County rubbish site on Hwy 27 at Crystal Springs is listed by MDEQ (2018 list) — call the County before relying on it.

Permits, placement and who may haul in Crystal Springs

Truck routes — Ordinance No. 388 (2015): a "truck" is any vehicle with more than two axles or over 10,000 lb, pickups excluded — a roll-off truck counts. Through trucks may use only MS Hwy 27, US Hwy 51, and Coor Springs Rd, Bradley Ln, Jackson St and S. Pat Harrison Dr. A truck delivering in the city uses the truck routes plus North and South Jackson Street, then the most direct route to the delivery point and back the same way. A free special permit for other routes is available at City Hall. Violations are a misdemeanor — up to $500 and/or 10 days.

Who may haul: no hauler licence or franchise was found; the City posts only a few ordinances online. Call City Hall on 601-892-1212, or ask us and we will check before booking.

In the street and demolition: no container or demolition rule was found. Ordinance 382 keeps fences, walls and plants out of the street right-of-way but says nothing about containers. Keep it on the driveway, and ask City Hall before a street placement.

Summarized from the city's published code and web pages as read in October 2026. Codes change — confirm with the department listed before you rely on it.

How it works

Booking a dumpster in Crystal Springs

Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.

  1. 1

Call and tell us the job

One short conversation. We ask what you are clearing, where the container needs to sit, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us. No long forms, no waiting on an email.

  2. 2

We size it and quote it flat

You get one number covering delivery, the 7-day rental, pickup, disposal and a stated tonnage allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so. If it is concrete, brick or dirt, we say up front that weight decides the size.

  3. 3

    Delivered where you want it

The driver checks the spot and sets the container square on the driveway, lot or job site, with boards under the rails if you want them. Same-day in Jackson if you called before noon, depending on availability.

  4. 4

    Load at your own pace

Keep it level with the top rail and keep the banned items out — tires, car batteries, oil, paint, chemicals, fridges with the refrigerant still in them, and anything hot. Need a swap mid-job or an early pickup? One call or text and we are on it.

  5. 5

We haul it and dispose of it right

The load goes out tarped to a permitted rubbish site or landfill, with metal, concrete and clean green waste recycled where the facility takes them. You get your driveway back the way you left it.

Local answers

Dumpster rental in Crystal Springs — common questions

Is Crystal Springs same-day or next-day?

Next morning as a rule — about 36 minutes down I-55 — and often the same day. Call (601) 821-2292 and ask.

Do truck routes matter for my delivery?

The ordinance governs how trucks over 10,000 lb move through the city — via Hwy 27, Hwy 51 and Jackson Street, then the most direct route to the delivery point. It allows trucks delivering in the city, so it does not stop a container coming to your address.

Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Crystal Springs?

We found no City rule for containers. Keep it on the driveway, and check with City Hall (601-892-1212) before a street placement.

Can I recycle cardboard instead of filling the bin?

Yes — the City drop-off at 304 Harmony Rd takes cardboard, paper, plastics, cans and glass. It frees up room in the container.

Every city and town we cover

We run roll-off containers out of the Bailey Avenue yard to every city and town below. Jackson and the close-in cities are usually same-day; the edges of the metro are often next-day. Jackson, Clinton and Brandon license the haulers that work inside their limits, and Canton sends its garbage to its own landfill — each page says so plainly. If your town is not listed, call anyway.
